The importance of corporate values at Lemon Companies

What does it mean to build and maintain a culture? That's what I asked myself as I began this post. When I started at Lemon Companies, it was clear that this was no ordinary corporate workplace. Lemon Companies, founded with a strong startup vibe, had been around for four years at the time. It was not a "boring" IT environment, but a 25-strong workforce that was more than just colleagues.

At Lemon, we are extremely committed to our core values (entrepreneurship/Lemoneurship, honesty and pride) LEF, values that are still very much alive today and are the foundation for the company we are today. Our values not only ensure success, but also create a work environment in which our employees can flourish and reach their full potential.

Entrepreneurship - Lemoneurship

Entrepreneurship drives our innovation and growth. All of our Lemoneers are constantly encouraged to come up with new ideas, take risks and be proactive. I have learned that entrepreneurship also means taking responsibility for your projects and their results. The culture of entrepreneurship keeps us focused and allows us to provide the best solution to our customers.

Honesty

Honesty was and still is one of the values that most appeals to me at Lemon. Transparency and integrity are the foundation of trust here, both within the team and to our clients. To me, honesty is communicating openly, admitting your mistakes and always striving for the truth. This will always help to build a strong relationship with our clients, but especially our colleagues.

Pride

Lastly, pride is something we place great importance on. We are proud of what we do and what we accomplish. We celebrate our successes and recognize the hard work we do together. To me, pride means that we uphold our values and standards and strive for excellence in everything we do. At Lemon, we are proud of our work and will radiate this to our clients and partners which helps us build long-term relationships based on mutual respect and appreciation.

Characteristics of our employees

In addition to living our core values, it is also important that our employees possess certain traits. At Lemon Companies, we look for people who are critical, analytical, passionate, driven and independent.

  • Independent: Independence means being able to plan and perform your work yourself without constant supervision. This promotes efficiency and personal growth.

I believe that through our LEF values and hiring employees with these traits, we can continue to be a dynamic and successful company where everyone can be themselves. I am proud of our team and the culture we have built together.
