LEF weekend

On Saturday, October 2, our Lemon Tribe donned its most adventurous outfit and step shoes because it was time again to show how much LEF we have in us. We went on an adventure weekend in Durbuy!

With our Lemon wagons arrived in the Ardennes, it was first time to fill our stomachs with breakfast and a cup of coffee. Once everyone's eyes were opened, it was time to fly in.

First activity? Climbing forest! We can tell you there is no better way to start the day than climbing and scrambling from obstacle to obstacle in the middle of beautiful nature. For those who are afraid of heights, this was a big challenge. But leaving no one behind, we encouraged each other to clear every obstacle. Okay, we also fumbled and some just crashed.

After this brisk morning activity, it was time to recharge our batteries with a tasty lunch at Bar'Bru. We could use the rest because the next activity on our schedule was ... an 8km kayaking trip on the Ourthe River.

Everyone chose his/her partner, we put on our life jackets and away we went.Some of us found it quite an exciting trip, but most were totally in their element

After our kayaking adventure, everyone was tired but satisfied. And after all the calories we burned, that BBQ buffet was more than welcome. And then plopping down in bed... 

Okay, no bit realistic lol... Of course we all went out for another pint, or two (three...) and we got our dancing legs out. Some of us even took an evening dip in the pool. Hey but it was October? Yes, that's LEF.

Now you would think they have been in their beds until noon, but no! We had to get up early, because our weekend wasn't over yet. At 9 a.m. we had breakfast with small eyes (or yes, most of us anyway). Some of us made weird choices in that, for example Sven enjoyed a nice bowl of cereal with ketchup.

At 09:45 our last activity could begin: Fast Tag. A team activity where we had to score as many points as possible by overcoming obstacles and solving puzzles. You would think that this really creates a bond and that you work together but I can assure you that it was every man for himself here!

After this adventurous and mostly funny weekend, we got back into our Lemon cars to drive to the ClubHouse. Let's just say the drive back was a little quieter than our outward journey😴.
